Workshop Description: Are you a town councillor, or a municipal employee? Strengthen your municipal knowledge. Join Dennis Shewfelt (Whitehorse City Manager) and the Hon. Ione Christensen (Member of The Order of Canada) as they share their own experiences and expertise in Municipal Governances and Decision Making. Gain a better grounding in council procedures, Roberts Rules of Order, decision making and how to be effective and efficient in Council meetings. Exchange ideas with colleagues and experts about procedural issues facing your municipality and how to overcome them. Need more experience with procedural processes? Join in discussion on the "special circumstance" such as defeated budgets or puzzling outdated bylaws.
